Inspiring the next generation of STEM Leaders

In 2021, Kinetic Minds was awarded funding from the Burroughs Wellcome Fund to launch the Junior Scientist Academy (JSA)—an innovative STEM program designed to serve underrepresented students, including girls, minorities, and children with learning disabilities who show strength in science and math. The program was created by co-founder and Executive Director Eskabonna Henderson, a lifelong educator with an exceptional background in STEM and a deep commitment to student success.

Program Overview

The Junior Scientist Academy serves rising 5th–9th grade students through a structured and engaging experience that includes:

  • Coding

Experiences Beyond the Classroom
